Kirsten DeSpain is a critical care registered nurse and legal nurse consultant in Houston, Texas. She graduated from the University of Mary Hardin – Baylor in 2019 with her bachelor’s in nursing. She spent years working in high-acuity cardiac and heart failure ICUs, caring for patients with complex cardiac devices, recovering from major cardiothoracic surgeries, and receiving ECMO therapy. After several years serving in high-acuity ICU environments at Memorial Hermann TMC and Baylor Scott & White, she decided it was time for a change. Today, she combines her bedside expertise with the legal world, helping to interpret medical records and strengthen medically complex cases. Known for her friendly, approachable personality and a fun, positive presence on every team, Kirsten pairs technical excellence with strong communication and a genuine, people-centered approach to her work.
