Michael B. Wright, MSc, JD

Biography

Michael earned his law degree from Texas Tech University School of Law. Concurrently, Michael pursued a Master of Science in Biotechnology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, equipping him with a robust understanding of genetics, biochemistry, microbiology, and data analysis. His unique blend of legal and scientific knowledge positions him well in the defense of healthcare providers across various medical and legal issues.

 Michael's analytical skills are not just limited to the courtroom. As a Technology Analyst at Texas Tech University's Office of Research Commercialization, he assessed the patentability of new scientific innovations, conducted market research, and evaluatedthe commercial potential of new technologies. His legal internship at Legal Aid of Northwest Texas further honed his skills in mediation and trial preparation.

Additionally, as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Biosecurity, Biosafety, and Biodefense Law, Michael led the publication to new heights, ensuring the content was both legally and scientifically rigorous.

 

Since joining Myers Doyle, Michael has focused his practice on litigation, particularly in defending alleged malpractice in the fields of medicine and dentistry, as well as health law, products liability, premises liability, pharmaceutical, and employment claims. His work in licensure defense before administrative agencies like the Texas Medical Board, the State Board of Dental Examiners, and the Texas Nursing Board underscores his comprehensive approach to legal defense.”
