Andrew M. Taleghany, MS, MBA, JD

Biography

After law school, Andrew began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney with the Harris County District Attorney’ Office, where he gained valuable trial experience prosecuting criminal matters in misdemeanor and felony courts. Andrew primarily prosecuted crimes of family violence, assault, theft, DWI, and drug possession. During his tenure as an Assistant District Attorney, he represented the State during trials, hearings, docket calls, and plea negotiations. Andrew’s additional litigation responsibilities entailed preparing witnesses, crafting and directing trial strategy, and reviewing evidence.

Since joining Myers Doyle, Andrew has dedicated his practice to the defense of healthcare providers in all areas of medicine and dentistry. Andrew’s unique background, training and experience provide a distinct advantage in the defense of medical and dental claims. Andrew’s healthcare practice includes representation of healthcare institutions, physicians, dentists, and nurses in matters involving medical negligence, contractual issues, and government reimbursement issues.

He has handled and successfully defended alleged malpractice cases in multiple venues throughout Texas. In addition, Andrew has successfully defended physicians and dentists before the Texas Medical Board and the State Board of Dental Examiners.

Andrew is admitted to practice in all Texas State Courts and the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas.
